Crown molding – In the field of Carpentry, installing crown moulding is the most difficult. Like many other trades if it is not practiced every day, then it can be a struggle to kept quality at a high level. Even on simple jobs, problems may arise. An experienced carpenter can breeze through difficult areas and concentrate on quality.

I prefer to use stock moldings (primed wood moulding) for all trim. If it is a large house that needs a built-up crown molding then multiple moldings can be combined to give a custom look. Multiple moldings can be used for a unique look on any size home. Choosing a look is part of the initial estimate and all trim samples are on hand that day to come up with a design that everyone is happy with. All work, whether custom or the addition of standard trim, communication is always clear and also documented in the quote.

When Vince came to the house to measure and provide a quote he brought lots of samples with him, which was great. We chose a simple 3.25″ molding for the entire house, with an additional 1.50″ riser in the common areas.

Vince did the job over three days. He did an amazing job. Truly a master of his craft. The joints are so tight they didn’t require any fillers.

Update 2/6/14: I recently stayed in a 5-star hotel while on vacation. Fabulous place. Stunningly designed with lots of arches and columns. My crown molding is better.

He also saw were there was a leak in one of the windows our building ended up having issues and it took an additional 6 months for our building to be fixed but Vince came back when the repairs were finished and finished his original work and did some additional trim work from the damage the leak in the building caused. Our painter, John Goetz was very impressed with your work. He said when most contractors install crown molding the seams are always visible. John said he couldn’t see them in our house. I did give John your information because he said clients ask him all the time to recommend someone for molding. My in-laws were also impressed when they came to visit. But the biggest compliment you got was from my son Spencer. He said to me one day, “mommy, can we have Aiden over so I can show him what Vince did”.
